The club did not have an public website for members who use of the facilities and services, it was not an official website to keep its entire community informed of recent activities, events, schedules of sports and social services, as well as making it impossible to have an effective channel to make contact with the club's administration.

Also there was a need to create an online sports activities reservation platform for the members and users of the facilities, there was an idea that through a web application the process could be improved, the process in that time through phonecalls and direct instant messaging to the operators of each sports activitie was obsolete, this generated disorganization, lack of control and serious lack of communication between both sides.

The challenge

The challenge consisted in designing and developing two products in parallel, in one hand the public website and in the other hand a custom online booking application. Each one with particular characteristics, stakeholders, users and objectives to be met. A particular technological challenge is that the reservation web application had to be integrated with an external ERP system where the authentication credentials of the partner users were located.

The process

"Design Thinking" was adopted as the base methodology to begin to identify the main needs, environment, user research, present hypotheses, flows and gather the necessary evidence to present a strategy that would respond to the solution of both problems. Part of the process was to involve the "stakeholders" in the methodology (directive, customer service, sports coordination and general management), in order to show them what methodology could be adopted for the project and that can provide guidance for each phase and deliverables of the project. draft.
