Problem:

IngramSpark is an of world recognized platform to print and publish books for independent authors. One of its important tool, is the current book builder that allows people to design the interior and cover of a book. This tool is called “IngramSpark Book Builder”. This tool from the user and business perspective have good features but lack design with several problems of usability and accessibility.

Solution

The solution was to redesign the web app to solve usability and performance issues for the user and business. From the visual design perspective, a new look & feel and user interface were presented, responding to the branding and corporate requirements.

Design Processes

During the design process, the following methodologies and techniques were applied: Benchmarking, competitive analysis and research, Heuristic Evaluation. Stakeholders interviews and brainstorming. User journey, user needs and functionality refinement. Sketching, Wireframe and high fidelity prototypes in Figma. Visual & Corporate Standards. Define a Design System in Figma and frontend components. User testing and interviews.
